Please join Network For Progress, a social and media-savvy community inspired by the "Yes We Can" Movement to engage Progressives, Democrats, Hope Mongers and Change Makers in political and civic participation, for a crowd-sourced Progress Meetup to connect each other with activists, organizations and opportunities to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the DC-metro area.
And there is no better place to host a "general assembly" on 21st Century digital-driven movement-building than the home of General Assembly - the technology, business and design school for entrepreneurs and startup companies.
PROGRAM SUMMARY
TRAP laws are zoning out women’s health centers from Texas to Virginia while abortion restrictions are becoming a legislative poison pill for even a bipartisan bill on human trafficking. What is happening and what can we do about it? This month our featured program will discuss trends in the movement for “Reproductive Rights” and where things are headed in 2016….including how YOU can take action for women’s health and for your communication and leadership skills!
Afterward, we will invite attendees to share their own or recommended events and actions where you can work for PROGRESS.
We will also discuss how we can get “Ready For Unity” by advocating for a more successful Progressive Democratic Movement and invite folks to join Team N4P to develop ongoing and future initiatives.
