It's the grand unveiling of GoodWorld's #donate technology, and you're invited.

Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres, New Zealand wine, and hear why the Chairman of ALS Association wishes he had #donate for the Ice Bucket Challenge.

With fantastic local causes on hand, play with the tech and see just how easy it is to #donate.

Most importantly root us on in front of family and media!

Space is limited, so please RSVP.

10/5: Ward 1 Meet & Greet for Elissa Silverman

Picture
7:00pm Sunday, October 5th
422 Lamont St NW 20010, Washington, District of Columbia

Please join David Do and Juan C. Barragan for a Ward 1 meet and greet for Elissa Silverman Sunday, October 5th at 7pm at 422 Lamont Street NW -- everyone is welcome!

Elissa has a track record of working to make D.C. Government accountable to all of us, in every neighborhood across the city. Come meet her, hear her story, and ask questions – then help us put her to work on the D.C. Council!

As a budget analyst with the D.C. Fiscal Policy Institute, a community advocate, a reporter for The Washington Post, and Washington City Paper’s Loose Lips columnist, Elissa has uncovered what works in District government – and what doesn’t!

You can trust Elissa to focus on what really matters: transforming D.C. into a place of opportunity for all residents by investing in public education, public transportation, and safe and affordable housing in every ward. For Elissa, investing in our city means investing in ourselves.

For any additional information, please contact Juan Camilo Barragán at: jcbarragan@live.com

4:00pm - 9:00pm Sunday, October 5th
The Church of the Epiphany, 1317 G St NW, Washington, District of Columbia 20005

Your friends at the Youth Service Opportunities Project invite you to take part in a YSOP Service Meal at the Church of the Epiphany on Sunday, October 5th, from 4:00-9:00 p.m.

YSOP is dedicated to giving college, middle and high school students opportunities to help others through volunteer service. By involving students in meaningful volunteer work assisting people neglected by our society, youth broaden their perspectives, while developing a lifelong commitment toward volunteering.

During the Service Meal Program, participants prepare a meal, which they share over games and conversation with homeless guests. After the meal, YSOP Workcamp Leaders facilitate discussion on stereotypes, reactions to the experience and what personal goals the participants want to set after this experience.

Our Workcamp Leaders—your friends—would like for you to have a chance to participate in this meaningful program in order to see firsthand the work that they do and to be able to support both them and YSOP’s mission.

TO PARTICIPATE

We suggest a minimum donation of $25 for volunteer participants. This donation is tax deductible, and you will receive a letter of acknowledgement. To donate and reserve your place, please visit:www.ysop.org and click the “Donate to YSOP” butto on the left. Please make sure to write “DC October

Service Dinner” in the “Memorial/Honor Gift Tribute Info” section.
