Please join Network For Progress, a social and media-savvy community inspired by the "Yes We Can" Movement to engage Progressives, Democrats, Hope Mongers and Change Makers in political and civic participation, for our June rooftop "1st Thursdays” mixer in Dupont with free food courtesy of Sauf Haus and Runinout.com (here’s their own facebook event).
This month we teamed with “Draft Biden 2016” PAC (here’s their own facebook event) to celebrate the viral awesomeness of our Vice President and show support for veteran’s families in honor of the Biden family’s commitment to their care. But in response to the sad news of the passing of Joe’s veteran son Beau we want to make this a truly special night to pay tribute to their service.
CAUSE OF THE MONTH: VETERAN’S FAMILIES
In honor of the Biden family, we’re inviting everyone to get involved in Joining Forces, Dr. Jill Biden’s initiative with First Lady Michelle Obama.
Also, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the White House-endorsed charity Fisher House. As you may have heard, the Biden’s have hosted Thanksgiving dinners with the veteran’s families that they help and the organization is the recipient of the Obama’s largest charitable donation in 2014.
Feel free to give in Memory of “Beau Biden” and use the email “[email protected]” to send your tribute and Fisher House will ensure your messages are forwarded to the Biden family.

Toora is an award-winning volunteer who is raising money to pay for his trip to the Young Democrats of America Convention in Los Angeles this summer where he is a candidate for Secretary of the Disability Caucus. Due to his medical issues he needs to buy a plane ticket and separate hotel room for his Mom as well so it is a costly endeavor for his family.
